Sunday School Classes

Welcome

There's a place for you in our Sunday School! You're invited to visit any of our classes. The Church School hour is 9:45 AM. Worship services are at 8:30 and 11:00 AM. If you have questions, please contact Bill Dunnigan, Sunday School Superintendent, by calling the church office at (803) 359-6838 or by sending an email to Information Email .

Nursery

The nursery is staffed with paid and volunteer workers.The children are separated into three rooms— one for infants, one for toddlers, and one for two and three year old children. Each room is equipped with age-level appropriate furnishings.

Nurseries are provided for 8:30 and 11:00 AM worship services and 9:45 AM Sunday School. Any other church wide activity will also have a nursery available to those who need this service.

Children

Sunday School classes are held for all children aged two years old through the 5th grade at 9:45. The United Methodist curriculum is used for their lessons. Age groupings are according to public school requirements.

All ofthe children's classes are located in the Mail Building.

Youth

Sunday School classes are designed to meet youth "where they are" pertaining to faith and personal issues. Biblically based curriculum is used as guides for class discussion and activities. Classes are divided by age levels; 6th grade, 7th grade & 8th grades, 9th & 10th grades, 11th & 12th grades.

All youth classes meet in the in the Ministry Center.

Adult Sunday School Classes


Aldersgate

A reasonably mature fellowship of adult singles and couples which uses a discussion format each Sunday. Four to five books per year are used by this class. Biblical studies, ethics, current issues, and current church studies are some of the topics discussed. Room 120 - Asbury Hall

Families in Christ

This class is designed for newlyweds and families with pre-school and elementary age children. Their studies include a wide range of issues relating to the family and to the Christian faith. Room MC005 - Ministry Center

Fellowship Class

A senior adult class which uses the Adult Bible Study series for their lessons. Single adults and couples are welcome. Room 154/155 - Main Building

Ladies Bible Class

A class of senior adult women who through Bible Study, meditation and prayer become more aware of the faithfulness of God in their lives. Room 149 - Main Building

New Life in Christ

An adult class that encourages individual input and spirited discussion. Topics alternate between Bible study, Christian authored books, and personal/family/church issues with a Biblical understanding. The class sponsors a family every year for Christmas. Room 007 - Ministry Center

Open Door Class

Begun in 1997, the Open Door Class is a small, friendly group of adults of all ages. The class gathers each Sunday for an in-depth study of the Bible, always seeking to discover how biblical truths can become part of our daily life. Stepping Stones Class

Young adult couples or singles in their 20s and 30s are invited to attend this class. Their studies include a wide range of issues relating to their life and faith. Rooms 205/205 - Main Building

This adult class studies a wide range of topics including family and social concerns, national and world issues, as well as Bible study. Class participation is encouraged. Room MC003 - Ministry Center
