Disciple Bible Study (34 Weeks)

Disciple Bible Study comes in two flavors. There is a Short Term Disciple Bible Study that is formatted for an eight week study. The original Disciple Bible Study series are 32 - 34 weeks in length. A discussion of all Disciple Bible Study offerings can be found on the Disciple Bible Study page.

Disciple I Bible Study - Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study - This is a general survey of the entire bible and is the prerequisite to the other studies. The student will read approximately 70% of the bible during the 34 weeks. Lesson thirty-three is a special time of positive affirmation and discernment . Each person is given an opportunity during that meeting to talk about their personal goals for discipleship. The hoped-for results of this study are to develop biblically nourished persons committed to live as disciples.

Ladies Bible Study (11 Weeks)

"A Women's Heart: God's Dwelling Place" by Beth Moore - Discover the parallels of the Tabernacle’s building and your life as a chosen vessel of God. While the title is familiar, the content for this in-depth video teaching series is all new and rich in detail. Taken primarily from the Book of Exodus, A Woman’s Heart: God’s Dwelling Place by Beth Moore will take you on a fascinating journey into why God would chose to live in a wilderness tabernacle, made by human hands. Taped in Beth’s home church in Houston, this updated edition of A Woman’s Heart contains all new video footage and exciting new graphics. Regardless of whether you studied Beth Moore’s first LifeWay study years ago, you’ll find A Woman’s Heart well worth another visit.

Share Jesus Without Fear (4 Weeks)

This study emphasizes how to share God’s word without the fear or intimidation that many of us feel when we try to talk to others about God and our faith. It is an assertive, but soft approach to helping people get beyond the tough issues they face daily. It is a simple study that builds on one’s own personal relationship with God to reach out to others.

Men's Prayer Breakfast (Ongoing)

A Men's Prayer Breakfast/Bible Study is ongoing throughout the year. (Wednesday @ 6:30 AM - Asbury Hall)

An Encouraging Bible Study for the Busy Mom (12 Weeks)

This study will use a book titled The bathtub is overflowing but I feel drained: How to defeat Mommy Stress by Lysa TerKeurst.

“Whether you are pushing a stroller with a toddler wiggling in it or pushing your foot through the floorboard while your teen learns to drive, you will find practical ideas to give you more energy, encouraging help from God’s word, and plenty of empathy from one busy mom to another.”
  • Forgive yourself for honest mistakes
  • Look to the Lord for what you need each new day
  • Refuse to be either Slacker Mom or Super Mom
  • Trust God with your greatest fears
  • Grow as a person and as a mom
The author is a mother of five so she knows about the “mommy stress”.  It’s a very easy reading book, short chapters with lots of humor and compassion.
