Welcome! Here’s some information about visiting at LUMC.

Worship Services

For most people, Sunday morning worship services are the first introduction to LUMC.  We have three services on Sunday and one on Tuesday night:

  • 8:30 am Traditional Service in the Sanctuary
  • 11:00 am ANew Blended Service in the Ministry Center, which faces Fort Street
  • 11:00 am Traditional Service in the Sanctuary
  • 6:30 pm Tuesday Night Traditional Service in the Sanctuary

When Should I Arrive?

Typically, you should arrive about 15 minutes before the worship service starts to allow plenty of time to make your way to the Sanctuary, get a bulletin and find a seat. You may want to arrive a few minutes earlier if you need to take your children to Sunday School or to the Nursery.

Greeters in the Sanctuary and Ministry Center will welcome you and provide you with a bulletin and any other handouts for the service.

What Should I Wear?

Our congregation spans a range of ages and backgrounds. The pastors wear robes for the traditional services but business casual in the ANew contemporary service. You’ll see people in the pews dressed in all styles—from jeans to business attire.

Where Do I Park?

Parking is available in the Lexington Court House parking lot, located directly next to Lexington UMC.  It is available for the church at all times.  Handicapped parking is reserved for those who need assistance.

Who Will Help Me Find My Way Around The Church?

For worship, greeters and ushers are in the areas leading into our Sanctuary and Ministry Center. Should you need help finding your way around the church, please do not hesitate to ask one of them. One will gladly show you to your destination.
