UMYF: This is a time to come together in food, fellowship, fun, sharing, and learning more about God's presence in our lives. BOVOTIONS: We meet for breakfast @ Bojangles every Thursday to share in prayer and a short Bovotion (Devotion) to start our day off right! BIBLE STUDY: For one hour on Wednesday nights we split up into small groups and read scripture and discuss how it applies to our life today. DECAPOLIS DROP-BY: Decapolis is our Youth House. We gather here on Wednesday nights to hangout and get away for a while. AGAPE: This is a group of youth called to be leaders in this ministry. They participate in the planning, preparation, and implementation of our events! They also do a great deal of our outreach! CONFIRMATION: This program is a three year process beginning in the sixth grade. The first two years consist of introductory classes. In the eigth grade you finish the confirmation process and are confirmed at the end of the year. It is an awesome experience in which the youth learn the details about our religion, our faith, our denomination, and our church, while developing their own relationship with God. Agape Retreat: THEME & T-SHIRTS: Each year (using spiritual discernment) Agape develops a theme and T-shirt. This gives our youth group a spiritual guidepost and a unifying call for that year! This year's theme is "Rock Solid!" YOUTH CHOIR: This is a group of extremely talented youth who praise God through their singing. The focus in this group is more traditional music and traditional instruments. It is the perfect way to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord!" YOUTH SERVICE FUND: More commonly called YSF, this is a fund in the United Methodist Church which raises $ for those in need. The $ is raised by youth (that's you!) and goes to help youth in need! |
